If you’re already working in health and care and are passionate about patient care, the Student Nurse Associate Apprentice (SNAA) programme at ULTH and LCHS offers a fantastic opportunity to develop your career while continuing to make a difference.
This Band 3, 24-month apprenticeship is designed for NHS employees who want to progress into nursing through a structured, supported route earning a salary while gaining a Level 5 Nursing associate (NMC 2018) qualification.
What’s Involved?
As a SNAA, you’ll:
- Continue working within the NHS while training in clinical settings across ULHT.
- Deliver safe, compassionate care under supervision.
- Study part-time with a university partner, supported by mentors and educators.
- Work towards required registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) as a Nursing Associate.
What You’ll Gain
- A fully funded qualification with no tuition fees.
- A Band 3 salary while you train (£24,937 – £26,598 per annum, annex 21) within either ULTH or LCHS.
- A clear pathway to becoming a Registered Nurse.
