Aspiring Pharmacy Event Inspires Future Healthcare Professionals Across Lincolnshire

In July 2026, Lincolnshire Talent Academy welcomed aspiring healthcare professionals to Lincoln County Hospital for its latest Aspiring Pharmacy event, giving young people a unique opportunity to explore the diverse and rewarding world of pharmacy.
Delivered in partnership with pharmacy teams from Lincolnshire Community Health Services NHS Trust, Lincolnshire Partnership NHS Foundation Trust, and United Lincolnshire Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust, the event brought together students aged 16 to 19 from across the county who are considering a future career in healthcare.
Throughout the morning, attendees learned from professionals working across a range of pharmacy roles, including Pharmacists, Pharmacy Technicians, and Foundation Trainee Pharmacists. Through engaging talks and hands-on activities, participants gained valuable insight into how pharmacy careers combine scientific knowledge, clinical expertise, and compassionate care to support people in treating illness, managing long-term conditions, and living healthier lives.

- Formulation
- Medicines Reconciliation
- Mental Health Pharmacy
- Panel Interviews with experienced pharmacy professionals
In addition, attendees had the opportunity to take part in a half-day work experience placement in acute care, providing a valuable first-hand insight into pharmacy services within a busy hospital environment.
The event received overwhelmingly positive feedback, with many attendees describing how the experience strengthened their interest in pursuing a career in pharmacy.
