Aspiring Physiotherapy Event Inspires Future Healthcare Professionals
Posted on 6th November 2025

In October, the Talent Academy hosted “Aspiring Physiotherapy” at Lincoln College’s Clinical Skills Suites. Young people aged 14–19 had the opportunity to meet staff from Lincoln Hospital’s Physiotherapy team, alongside current Physiotherapy students from the University of Lincoln.
Under the guidance of professionals, attendees took part in interactive workshops and insightful discussions, exploring the essential skills needed to help patients regain mobility and independence lost through injury, ageing, or disability.
Session highlights included:
- Career Routes Q&A
- Respiratory Physiotherapy
- Senior Physiotherapy Assistant (Musculoskeletal – MSK)
- Life as a Newly Qualified Physio & Top Tips for University
- Moving and Handling
- Physiotherapy Bingo
Here’s what some of our attendees had to say:
“I liked how we got to hear from many different perspectives. For example, from a student, an apprentice, and a physio assistant. It was also a good mixture of spoken and practical, which made it really fun and informative.” – anonymous attendee
“Inspired to apply to university. Took away greater knowledge and skill observation. I would encourage someone to join in and participate, as there is a wide variety that can be personal to many.” – anonymous attendee
“I would highly recommend the events. I liked hearing other people’s perspectives and experiences on how they got into the career, and getting to see some of the equipment used.” – anonymous attendee
