Our 10th Lincolnshire Health and Care Discovery Event returns this November, and it’s set to be our biggest and most exciting event yet!
Taking place on 12 November 2026 at the EPIC Centre, Lincolnshire Showground, the event allows students to explore a huge variety of careers available across health and care, including a range of the 350 careers available in the NHS.
The event brings together employers, universities, colleges and professionals from across the sector, giving students the chance to discover careers they may never have considered before. Whether you’re interested in science, technology, engineering, sport, caring for people, problem-solving, or working behind the scenes, there will be something for everyone.
Throughout the day, students will be able to get involved in hands-on activities, interactive demonstrations and career insight sessions designed to bring different roles to life. It’s a chance to ask questions, meet people working in a wide range of professions, and find out more about the different routes into health and care careers, including apprenticeships, college courses and university study.
This year’s event will feature more careers than ever before, with exhibitors from hospitals, community services, social care, digital and technology teams, estates and engineering departments, universities, and many more. Students will also have the opportunity to explore a training ambulance brought along by Hull University, meet the much-loved Pets as Therapy dogs, and see the Blood Bikes team and their motorcycles up close while learning about the important role they play in supporting healthcare services. There will even be ‘TED Talk’ style talks throughout the day, and a quiet area for SEND students to relax.
Whether students already have a career in mind or are still exploring their options, the Lincolnshire Health and Care Discovery Event offers a fantastic opportunity to experience the world of health and care first-hand, discover new possibilities, and be inspired about their future.
