The level of apprenticeship is determined by the role being undertaken in the workplace and the existing level of skills, knowledge and competence of the apprentice. Essential qualifications, previous experience and other requirements of the role are advertised in job descriptions. The NHS offer apprenticeships at all levels from Level 2 to degree apprenticeships and even masters level apprenticeships.
