Apprentice Administrator
NUMBER OF HOURS: Full time whilst undertaking apprenticeship leading to a 22.5 hours per week substantive position upon completion of apprenticeship
This is an exciting opportunity to join an established Improving Access to Psychological Therapies (IAPT) service in Lincolnshire to complete an administration apprenticeship with the steps2change Team in Boston.
An apprenticeship provides an opportunity to combine work and on the job training within the workplace and is ideally suited to school leavers who have achieved a maths and English GCSE as minimum. Apprentices gain experience within a specific role whilst undertaking formal training towards Level 3 Business & Administration Apprenticeship
Steps2change is a community mental health service providing treatment for people experiencing mild to moderate common mental health problems such as anxiety and depression. steps2change is a successful IAPT service which consistently achieves above average recovery rates.
We are therefore looking for a pleasant, organized, efficient, self-motivated and resilient team player to join us in the role of Apprentice Administrator.
The successful applicant will be employed by Lincolnshire Partnership NHS Foundation Trust and will be based at the steps2change Team in the Boston Archway Centre. The successful candidate will be committed to completing their apprenticeship to learn the skills in providing administrative support to the IAPT Team to ensure continued service delivery and will be expected to have a flexible approach and to work in the evening where required. You will be expected to carry out general office administrative tasks including booking patient appointments by telephone, typing letters, and inputting data onto the Trust’s computer systems, alongside completion of your Apprenticeship.
In this role you will require excellent communication and IT skills as well as having an exemplary telephone manner. You also need to be an excellent team player with the initiative to work on your own and as part of a small team. As an apprentice you will work alongside other Administrative colleagues to learn the job role and develop your skills.
The successful applicant will work as part of an established supportive team consisting of administrative staff and clinical staff (Psychological Wellbeing Practitioners, Counsellors, Interpersonal Therapists, Cognitive Behavioural Therapists and an Employment Advisor).
The successful candidate will be expected to provide administrative support to the team in Boston meeting the needs of our service users. The service will provide regular supervision and training to support the candidate to achieve this.
