Development opportunities for current and aspiring Healthcare and Nursing Staff
In order to better support its current workforce whilst also attracting new talent, a range of career pathways have been developed by the Lincolnshire Talent Academy aimed at supporting staff to progress their careers through work-based learning route.
Introduced in October 2017, the Nursing Workforce Development Pathway is one such area now available within Lincolnshire. Providing a development route from entry level cadet with development through the roles of healthcare support worker, nursing associate through to registered nurse, all training would be delivered through the apprenticeship programme.
Current update regarding aspects of the programme can be found from the following links:
Further career pathways are currently under development including Children’s Nursing and Midwifery, Theatres and Pharmacy.
The creation of career pathways will support Lincolnshire’s health and care system in the development and standardisation of skills and competencies at all levels, delivering accredited training from level 2 up to degree. Professional qualifications are also included for key roles.
Associated training programmes will be administered and supported via the Lincolnshire Talent Academy and delivered in conjunction with a range of specialist education partners, including local colleges and universities.
