This is a rare opportunity to train to become an AAT Level 2 Qualified Accounts Apprentice, earning a wage whilst you work as part of our fast-moving, innovative and ambitious Finance team supporting our organisation Lincolnshire Community Health Services NHS Trust (LCHS) to be able to provide great care close to home.

ABOUT THE ROLE

This is a 15 month fixed term Accounts Apprenticeship in our Finance Team based at LCHS Trust Headquarters, Beech House, Lincoln. The hours of work will be 37.5, Monday to Friday, on the apprentice national minimum wage rate. You will provide day to day comprehensive, effective and efficient support to a wide range of activities across the Finance function.

The post holder will be an integral member of the department with a varied job role and responsibilities that meet service needs including, but not be limited to:
•Working to support a busy finance team
•Working with figures and spreadsheets
•Preparation and manipulation of data including data entry
•Answering telephone and email queries and redirecting as appropriate

ABOUT THE APPRENTICESHIP

The 15 month Apprenticeship Programme involves a combination of work-based practice, off- the-job support clinics, facilitated group workshops, added valued vocational training courses such as First Aid at Work, Trust insight experience days and completion of a recognised national level 2 AAT qualification. Training provider based in Lincoln.

THE PERSON

This Accounts Apprenticeship Programme is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to begin their career in Finance and Accounting. The role may also suit someone who has already completed their level 2 AAT qualification, as the role could potentially support a Level 3 Accounts Apprenticeship.

To apply for this post you must have 5 GCSEs including Maths at grade C or above (or equivalent). Predicted grades will be accepted if awaiting results. You should also be able to demonstrate any work experience in any area or involvement in extracurricular activities.
