The Learning and Development Department exists to support the education and learning needs of all staff within LPFT to enable everyone to provide a high quality and safe service to all patients and carers. Education and learning can take the form of formal or informal study and whilst all staff have a personal and professional responsibility to maintain their own continuing professional development ‘CPD’, the Learning and Development Team work hard to ensure an offer of statutory, role essential, and developmental opportunities are available.

We are delighted to be able to offer, an apprenticeship in customer care and database work, based at the Centre for Learning, Development and Research which is part of Lincolnshire Partnership NHS Foundation Trust, based in Sleaford. The post is Monday – Friday 9:00 – 17:00 and due to the nature of the role the apprentice will work from base during these hours.

This post is an ideal opportunity for enthusiastic individuals who wish to develop their skills and knowledge by taking the first steps into administration within a Learning & Development Training team. The NHS is an excellent employer with fantastic opportunities, and we hope that following a successful apprenticeship, the post holder will obtain the skills, knowledge and experience required to make a long-term career within LPFT or the wider NHS.

The successful candidate will need to be a great team player with a can-do attitude and have an eye for detail. They will be committed to work towards a level 2 Apprenticeship in Customer Service, while also learning the skills required to process training queries that involves working on our Electronic Staff Register database which requires concentration to ensure accuracy. In addition to the formal education, the apprentice will be supported their local manager/supervisor and the team as a whole and they will have regular meetings and support from their college/training provider assessor.

A uniform will be provided as this role involves some reception/front of house duties.
